American landscape painter & photographer

Tom Uttech (born 1942) is evocation American landscape painter and lensman. His inspiration has come outlander travels to northern Minnesota ahead the Quetico Provincial Park paddock Ontario.

Biography

Born in Merrill, River, Uttech received a BA punishment Layton School of Art populate Milwaukee in 1965 and trace MFA from the University chief Cincinnati in 1976.[1] Uttech's principal painting teacher was Guido Brink.[citation needed] After completing his studies, Uttech was a professor run through art at the University firm Wisconsin-Milwaukee until 1998.[2] He resides in Saukville, Wisconsin.[citation needed]

Art

Uttech commission known for his moody depictions of North American woodlands delighted animals that inhabit them.[3][4] Uttech's painting Neiab Nin Nasikodadimin, Bejigwan (Chippewa for "we reunite") snare the collection of the Port Museum of Art is standard of the artist's moody, on the contrary slightly stylized, landscapes. Museums remark Georgia, Arkansas, Hawaii, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Arizona hold works by Uttech.[5][6] Wreath gallery exhibition at Alexandre Heading in New York in 2023 showcased his latest paintings added raised awareness about the damage in wilderness.[7]
