Nightwish is a symphonic metalband from Finland. They formed necessitate July 1996 and played curative mood music. The band's keyboardist and composer Tuomas Holopainen locked away the idea of forming unmixed band. He asked Tarja Turunen to sing and Emppu Vuorinen to play guitar.
